Alright, I finally got around to this post, took about 2 free packages, but we're here! That's right, I got to try this pudding for free in exchange for my review - all comments, feelings, emotions, views and words toward this product are my own however.
I was a bit excited to try this pudding out, I was really excited to try the Dark Chocolate flavor but my local store does not carry it. Sad. I tried the Chocolate Truffle instead. I have had chocolate pudding before but I can't say that I gravitate toward the pudding section at the store, it's just not usually top of mind. It's good...at a buffet that doesn't have brownies....but I don't seek it out and usually leave the store never having thought about it. That being said, I tried this stuff and it is so smooth and chocolaty in that first bite that it was rapidly becoming something I would remember to pick up next time I was at the store.
The cups are weird though. They have this weird hill in the bottom, kind of like the plastic water bottles have, and it made the pudding "float" it didn't appear to touch the bottom of the cup. I almost felt like I was getting jipped - they didn't fill the cup. Not that the amount that was actually in the cup was anything less than satisfying, it was perfect, just the appearance made me mad for a brief moment.
Overall, I liked it. It's a good chocolate pudding, better than others, but I don't think it will become a standard item in my house anytime soon. The next time a menu calls for pudding or I get a weird craving it will be the one I reach for though.
