I had the opportunity to try out Annie's Homegrown Star Pasta & Chicken Soup for free thanks to Influenster. There are not actually cheddar bunnies in the soup, I added those on my own. The soup was pretty good though. I really like the box it came in, it was really easy to open and made it really convenient to take to work and not worry about spilling a whole bowl of soup all over my car.
As for the flavor, it was decent. If you compare it to other brands of soup like Campbell's Chicken and Stars, you will be disappointed. If you just take it as it is and have no comparisons to other soups you have tried, it is rather good. You have your classic chicken broth with little chunks of chicken and star shaped noodles that take you back to a simpler time. There is not very much salt in the broth so if you like that salty flavor (like me) I suggest adding some cheesy crackers to sweeten the deal.
It is organic which is nice, and made without artificial flavors, synthetic colors, preservatives or MSG and that is a big bonus. I can't say I eat strictly organic foods but it is nice when there is a convenient, not very expensive, product that I can use in place of the more heavily processed things.
Currently it is only available in two stores in my town, and they are two that I never got to. I am not sure why they are not more widespread at this point since my regular grocer has a whole block of their canned soups but we will see how long it takes to get them on the shelves! Maybe they are more widely available in your area, but definitely check here to make sure they are at the store before you get all excited.
Overall, I give it a 3 out of 5 for flavor, convenience and availability. I am super curious about the Creamy Tomato and Bunny Pasta though, but I doubt I will venture into the stores it is sold. I guess "super" is a strong word!
